William F. Cook is an associate with the firm and he concentrates his practice in labor and employment litigation and complex civil litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cook served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael Patrick King, Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. Mr. Cook also served as a Deputy Attorney General for the Education Section of the Division of Law of the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety.
Mr. Cook graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science. He earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.
Mr. Cook is an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law in Camden where he teaches New Jersey Practice. He also serves on the Rules of Evidence Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Mr. Cook has authored several articles including "The New Jersey Bill of Rights and a 'Similarity Factors' Analysis," 34 Rutgers L.J. 1125 (2003) and "From Barrister to Jurist: Judge King on Insurance Law, Evidence, and Advocacy," 35 Rutgers L.J. LI (2004).
Mr. Cook is active in the Camden County Bar Association, where he is the co-chair of the Civil Practice Committee and co-chair of the Employment Law Committee. He also serves on the Committee on Professionalism. He has served as the president of the Young Lawyers Division for 2011-2012. He has moderated and spoken at several seminars. In addition, as chair of the Public Education Committee, he produced and appeared on the Bar Association's weekly television program, "Legally Speaking."
Mr. Cook was admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Cook is a member of the Sidney Reitelman Employment Law Inn of Court and the American Association for Justice. He is also a member of the American, the New Jersey, and the Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
Mr. Cook was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1977.
