Horace G. Brown

Horace BrownHorace G. Brown, who together with Thomas J. Connery, Jr., founded the firm in 1946, was a nationally renown trial lawyer whose preparation and zeal in advocating on behalf of his clients set a standard for the firm which still exists today.

Mr. Brown was a member and former Dean of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow and former Regent of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the International Society of Barristers. He also was active in the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association, and served as President of the Gloucester County Bar Association.

Mr. Brown was born in Clayton, New Jersey in 1902 and resided in Gloucester County for more than 10 years. For 33 years he served as a Trustee of Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, which the firm continues to represent.

Mr. Brown received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and his law degree from Temple University. He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1928, and remained active in the firm until his death in 1990.
